July 2, 2013…Thank you Ellie…New Creations Ministries
http://newcreationsministries.wordpress.com/author/
.
I have been in receipt of a few awards lately, however, my time and my
incompetence on the blog cut and paste has prevented me from accepting
all the kudos that have been sent my way.
I will attempt to thank everyone and if your name and site have been
omitted, do not feel slighted, just chalk it up to Michael’s old age.
.
Here are the Rules:
1. Link back to the person who nominated you.
2. Nominate (up to) eleven bloggers for these awards.
3. Notify the bloggers.
4. Ask eleven questions the bloggers must answer upon receiving the nomination.
5. Answer the eleven questions you were asked when you were nominated and post your awards.
.
Here are Ellie’s questions for me to answer before I can post the awards:
1. Would you rather win an Academy Award, Nobel Prize, Pulitzer or Grammy?
Nobel Peace Prize…anything that can make this world a better place for all.
2. If you could interview anyone alive, who would it be and why?
Warren Buffett…awesome individual who has skills our nations leaders need to learn.
3. What era in history would you have loved to have lived?
Love the here and now..and it is only getting better.
4. Do you think parents play favorites with their children?
Not favorites, but they should support each child differently in order to meet their needs.
5. Do you prefer cooking at home or eating out?
Balance….some of both for many obvious reasons.
6. What’s the best gift you ever received?
Life…
7. If you could be anyone in history who would it be and why?
Michelangelo, Ben Franklin and/or a few others who were multi-talented, super productive.
8. Do you believe dinosaurs lived the same time as man?
Don’t know…don’t care…
9. Where do you see yourself five years from now?
At 69 years of age I just hope to be sitting here writing in five years.
10. If you ever had “15 minutes of fame”, what was it for?
Not me…
11. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be and why?
On a sail boat visiting as many tropical ports as I could explore.
.
Not being too original. I will borrow Ellie’s questions for you
to answer before you can post the awards:
- Would you rather win an Academy Award, Nobel Prize, Pulitzer or Grammy?
- If you could interview anyone alive, who would it be and why?
- What era in history would you have loved to have lived?
- Do you think parents play favorites with their children?

- What’s the best gift you ever received?
- If you could be anyone in history who would it be and why?
- Do you believe dinosaurs lived the same time as man?
- Where do you see yourself five years from now?
- If you ever had “15 minutes of fame”, what was it for?
- If you could live anywhere in the world, where would that be and why?

AND NOW FOR THE NEXT AWARD
On to the rules of accepting the Versatile Blogger Award
- Thank the person who gave you this award. That’s common courtesy.
- Include a link to their blog. That’s also common courtesy — if you can figure out how to do it.
- Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you’ve recently discovered or follow regularly. ( I would add, pick blogs or bloggers that are excellent! Some that I have chosen are just unique.)
- Nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award — you might include a link to this site.
- http://versatilebloggeraward.wordpress.com/about/ This link gives you all the nitty gritty, just in case I didn’t follow the rules correctly, which I usually don’t.
- Finally, tell the person who nominated you 7 things about yourself
In no particular order I have recently started “following” these great blogs :

Kindness is like a boomerang that once sent out, is returned to you. We sure ned more of it in this world, don’t we? The same can be said about a smile; the international language.
January 12th, 2013 at 3:55 PM
Kindness is the Art to recognize Beauty In in some people only.
Must shake off malignity, presumption, wickedness, deceit, hypocrisy, ect. These are features of some humans who know no kindness.

Congratulations on your award, I truly enjoy your blog and hope many more stop in to read. 😀 Again Congratulations and where are the seven things about you hmmmm??
January 26th, 2013 at 8:02 AM
I’m so glad you posted your “7” !! I like your comment about “Becoming a curmudgeon”, and I often wondered if those were your photos, I wouldn’t say you were an amateur at all, all your photos are beautiful!!!!
February 4th, 2013 at 3:12 PM
Thank you Jack for nominating me for this award, I am so touched! You honor me if you feel I am excellent in what I do since I’m so new to blogging. And especially with all your versality and from all those who also follow your blog it’s humbling. Your success in overcoming adversity is a real inspiration to me!
It’s always fun to learn about others. We lived all over Florida, mostly in the central Lake County area. Clermont, Umatilla. Also in Ft. Myers and Tampa when we were fulltime motorhomers. Great life! Sometimes I miss it. Lived around Philly 3 years, while my husband attended Seminary – don’t miss that area though but don’t tell anyone – I don’t want to seem unkind now. 🙂
February 5th, 2013 at 8:43 AM
You are welcomed…the award is warranted. We now live in Spring Hill, north of Tampa, originally from PA, most of the time in Reading, north of Philly. My one and only son resides in center city Philly. My ex, my sons mother, lives in Fort Meyers. If you log on to my other blog, As a drunk sees it” https://michaelerb.wordpress.com/ and the older version http://asadrunkseesit.blogspot.com/, you will learn more about my background. Keep up the good work, your Bible quotes and some of your insights will probably show up in my blog.
Love, hugs and prayers…ME and the Boss
February 12th, 2013 at 9:37 AM
Hi Michael, thank you for both of these awards. They are coming out today on my blog and I appreciate you thinking of me.
By the way, we lived in Pottstown, PA for three years while my husband attended seminary during the early ’90s. Pretty seasons but yes it got cold!! We worked in the Tampa area for a winter after we became fulltime RV’ers as well as Orlando, Ft. Myers and and Lake County. Sometimes miss Florida but not the humidity. Enjoying the great life in AZ for a while. Great to learn more about you!
February 8th, 2013 at 12:25 PM

Heehee I figured the boss was your wife. I had an out loud chuckle at ‘got drunk and lost the other two’. Great double entendre!
