“For I

desire mercy,

not sacrifice,

and acknowledgment

of God

rather than

burnt offerings.”

Hosea 6:6 (NIV)

Smile, keep it simple, know that being compassionate

does not mean that you have to sacrifice your soul.

Burnt offerings and gifts of frankincense and myrrh

are not required to be a friend, to be a good neighbor

to be a citizen of the world,

a spirit who desires to do the next right thing.

Today, give thanks to your Higher Power.

Kindness is showing mercy, an acknowledgement of God.

Kindness is the beginning of a life filled with love.
