“Be modest!

It is the kind

of pride

least likely

to offend.”

— Jules Renard

Do your 26  acts of kindness, but do not tell me.

Do not boast of smiling at a homeless person,

holding the door for a little old lady, or allowing

the mother with baby to get in line in front of you.

Today, do a real kindness, give of yourself;

time, talents, and property,

to make this world a better place,

now, tomorrow and forever, for we know

the echoes of kindness never end.

Kindness is rooted in modesty.

Kindness is the beginning of a life filled with love.
